XLSemanal
XLSemanal, the most read Sunday magazine in Spain, and Zenda, a Spanish literary magazine collaborated to build this list. They wanted to build the ideal 101 books long library. They knew Don Quijote had to be in it, to find the other 100 they interviewed 133 Spanish celebrities including the then Prime Minister, writers, celebrity chefs and others. This is the initial ranked list of 196 books created from those interviews, readers later narrowed it down to 100.
